Gold on Silver Cayman Islands 10 Cent Turtle Earrings

These stunning earrings were made using real 10 cent coins from the Cayman Islands which are a little smaller than a US nickel and feature a turtle. First, these coins were layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figures on these beautiful coins were brought to life by highlighting them (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold. This painstaking work turned these coins into true works of art which were then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect them against wear. The finished coins were then made into a unique pair of earrings with sterling silver wires. Shipped in a nice jewelry box.
