Gold on Silver Jefferson Nickel Peace Medal Earrings

These stunning earrings were made using real US 2004 Jefferson Westward Journey Peace Medal Nickels. First, the coin was layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figure on this beautiful coin was brought to life by highlighting it (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold. This painstaking work turned the coin into a true work of art which was then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect it against wear. The finished coins were then made into a unique pair of earrings with sterling silver wires. Shipped in a nice jewelry box.
