Gold on Silver Canada 5 Cent Rabbit Hat Clip / Ball Marker

This stunning hat clip was made using a real 5 cent coin from Canada which is about the size of a US nickel and features a rabbit. First, the coin was layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figure on this beautiful coin was brought to life by highlighting it (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold. This painstaking work turned the coin into a true work of art which was then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect it against wear. The finished coin was then mounted on an antique gold hat clip with a strong magnet. These can also be clipped on a belt and are ideal for use as a golf ball marker.
