Gold on Silver Ireland 1/2 Penny Pig and Piglets Hat Clip / Ball Marker

This stunning hat clip was made using a real 1/2 penny coin from Ireland which is a little larger than a US quarter and features a pig and her piglets. First, the coin was layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figure on this beautiful coin was brought to life by highlighting it (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold. This painstaking work turned the coin into a true work of art which was then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect it against wear. The finished coin was then mounted on an antique gold hat clip with a strong magnet. These can also be clipped on a belt and are ideal for use as a golf ball marker.
