Gold and Silver on Silver Spain 50 Centimes Anchor and Wheel Necklace

This stunning necklace was made using a real 50 centimes coin from Spain which is about the size of US nickel and features a ship's anchor and wheel. First, the coin was layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figure on this beautiful coin was brought to life by highlighting it (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold and pure, .9999 fine bright silver. This painstaking work turned the coin into a true work of art which was then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect it against wear. The finished coin was then mounted in either a gold filled rope edge bezel or a gold filled plain edge bezel (your choice) and placed on a good quality 18-inch, 14-carat gold layered rope chain.
