Gold on Silver Israel 1/2 Lirah Menorah Necklace

This stunning necklace was made using a real 1/2 lirah coin from Israel which is about the size of a US quarter and features a menorah. First, the coin was layered in pure, .9999 fine bright silver. Then, the figure on this beautiful coin was brought to life by highlighting it (by hand) with rich, pure 24-carat gold. This painstaking work turned the coin into a true work of art which was then hermetically sealed in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect it against wear. The finished coin was then mounted in either a gold filled rope edge bezel, a gold filled plain edge bezel or placed directly on a chain (your choice). In each case, the chain used is a good quality 18-inch, 14-carat gold layered rope chain. Shipped in a nice jewelry box.
